Save your own project as a template
Turn a finished project into a reusable template and start your next project from it.

Templates & Brand Kits
Beyond the built-in gallery templates, you can save one of your own projects as a template — this is called a user template. Perfect a proposal structure or a favorite deck layout once, and every future project can start from that finished version.
User template
Your own template — not one of the built-in gallery ones, but a project you built and saved to reuse.
Placeholder
Temporary text that marks a spot to fill in later — like “enter company name here.”
Your own templates shine for repeat work — if you send similar proposals often, there’s no need to rebuild from scratch each time.
Saving as a template
Open the finished project you want to turn into a template.
Result: the workspace of the project you want to save is open.
Run Save as template from the command palette (⌘K).
Tidy up any example text or placeholders before saving — it makes reuse cleaner.
Give it a name and save — the template is added to your list of templates.
Result: you’ll be able to pick it by that name when starting a new project.
Starting from your template
When creating a new project, pick one of your saved templates.
A new project is created pre-filled with your earlier work — just swap in the new details to finish.
Result: the structure carries over while the content starts as your earlier example, ready to overwrite.
Unlike the public gallery templates, user templates live in your own account. Even saving just one deliverable you make often will already save you real time.
Combine your own templates with a brand kit and both the structure and the brand line up — so a new project starts polished in minutes.
How is this different from the gallery templates?
Gallery templates are pre-built for everyone; user templates are your own projects that you saved for yourself.
What happens to the original project after saving?
The original stays as-is. The template is saved like a snapshot copy and becomes a starting point for new projects.
What should I tidy up before saving?
Replace project-specific company names, numbers and detailed sentences with placeholders — reuse is much cleaner next time.
