Account & Billing
“Is it safe to hand over my payment details?” A fair worry when you’re new. The short answer: yes. nidavellir never touches or stores your card number. Below we explain how payment is handled, and how to change plans, cancel, or get a refund.
Payments are processed by Paddle.com (Paddle.com Market Limited) acting as the Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payment, VAT/tax, receipts, refunds and payment-related support. nidavellir does not store your card number or CVC.
Paddle
The outside payment service (paddle.com) that handles checkout for nidavellir. Your card details are entered into Paddle’s secure checkout and stay with Paddle.
Merchant of Record
The company that legally acts as the “seller,” responsible for payment, tax (VAT), receipts and refunds. Here that’s Paddle — so seeing Paddle’s name on your receipt is expected.

How a payment flows — your card details only ever live with Paddle.
For payment questions you can go straight to Paddle Buyer Support at paddle.net. Your receipt email also includes a management link.
Upgrade, downgrade or cancel
Open your account billing settings (the customer portal) — this is where you change plan or cancel.
The management link on your Paddle receipt opens the same portal.
Choose upgrade and it usually takes effect immediately, with the remainder of the period prorated.
“Prorated” means you’re only charged the difference for the days remaining — and the upgraded features unlock right away.
A downgrade takes effect from your next billing cycle — you keep your current plan until this cycle ends.
So the time you already paid for isn’t lost — you use it through to the end of the cycle.
To cancel, this stops auto-renewal. You keep your paid features until the end of the current billing period.
Cancelling doesn’t cut you off immediately — you drop to Free naturally when the period you paid for ends.
If you don’t want the next charge, cancel before your renewal date. Once the renewal date passes, the new period has already been billed. Cancelling itself is free and possible anytime, with no penalty.
If you can’t reach the portal, email [email protected] to manage or cancel your subscription.
Refunds
Request a refund within 14 days of a charge via [email protected] or Paddle Buyer Support (paddle.net). See the full refund policy and the terms.
Not sure what to write? Copy either message below and email it to [email protected]. Including the email address you signed up with helps us handle it faster.
Cancellation request
“Hi, I’d like to cancel my nidavellir subscription and stop auto-renewal. My account email is (your email). Thank you.”
Refund request
“Hi, I’d like to request a refund for my recent charge (charged on: date). My account email is (your email). Thank you.”
In-app purchases on iOS/Android are handled by the App Store / Google Play and upgrade the same subscription and account. For those, billing and refunds follow the store’s policies and are managed in the store settings.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Within 14 days of a charge, request one via [email protected] or Paddle Buyer Support (paddle.net). See the refund policy for details.
Is my card information safe?
Yes. Your card number and CVC are entered only into Paddle’s secure checkout (our Merchant of Record) and stay with Paddle. nidavellir does not store your card number or CVC.
Do I lose access as soon as I cancel?
No. Cancelling only stops auto-renewal — you keep your paid features until the end of the current billing period, then switch automatically to the Free plan.
